Bronx, NY (June 16, 2021) – At 4:44 p.m. on Monday, June 15, a pedestrian crash with injuries took place on a roadway in the Bronx involving a child.
According to local officials, the accident happened in the afternoon hours on Webster Avenue. An 8-year-old boy was standing in front of a local auto shop at the time. A vehicle suddenly entered the driveway and struck the boy because they did not see him.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene. The child was rushed to a local hospital and has been listed in critical condition.
The driver remained at the scene of the accident to cooperate with the police.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
