Brooklyn, NY (October 20, 2021) – At 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning, October 20, a train crash occurred at a station in Brooklyn.
According to officials, the accident happened at the Hoyt-Schermerhorn station. MTA officials confirmed that a pedestrian was walking in the area when they were struck by a train due to reasons that are not fully known. The train immediately stopped following the collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The individual who was struck by the train was injured. The party was rushed to the hospital but their condition is not yet known.
Both the F and G lines were disrupted for some time until police cleared the scene. This led to delays until police were finished.
