Brooklyn, NY (May 31, 2021) – A man died in a fatal pedestrian accident after he fell from his scooter and was struck by a car on Sunday evening, May 30.
Per reports from authorities, the 38-year-old food delivery worker was on a motorized scooter when he fell and was fatally hit by a vehicle in the borough of Brooklyn. Initial information from the scene stated that the man was traveling eastbound on Atlantic Avenue around 7:30 p.m. when he attempted to make a turn onto Clermont Avenue in Prospect Heights. Officers say he fell from his scooter and was hit by an unknown vehicle. Paramedics were dispatched, but the man died on the scene.
The vehicle’s driver cooperated with authorities on the scene, though police are still investigating the crash and have not yet released the man’s name.
