Brooklyn, NY – Pedestrian Accident at 16th Ave & 63rd St Intersection

Brooklyn, NY (March 9, 2021) – On Sunday afternoon, March 7, a pedestrian accident took place at an intersection in Brooklyn.

According to police, the accident took place at the intersection of 16th Avenue and 63rd Street. A 50-year-old male pedestrian was stepping out of his vehicle when a Honda vehicle sped by, striking him. The pedestrian was knocked to the ground and the driver of the Honda fled the scene.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with injuries to his hand and legs. He received surgery for his injuries.

The drunk driver has since been located by police but their charges are not yet known.

Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
