Brooklyn, NY (December 20, 2020) – Around 4 a.m. on Sunday morning, a driver was killed in a truck accident in Brooklyn.
According to officials, the accident took place at the intersection of East 88th Street and Flatlands Avenue. Police confirmed that a vehicle slammed into a New York City sanitation truck for reasons that are not yet known. The other vehicle was identified as a Nissan Altima.
One sanitation worker was inside the truck while another was off to the side and witnessed the accident.
Police confirmed that the damages to the Nissan were so severe that the 32-year-old driver had to be rescued from his vehicle. He was taken to the hospital where he tragically died from his injuries.
Police have since identified the victim as 32-year-old Kenneth Pamphile.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
