Long Island, NY – Woman Killed in Fatal Fire on Forester Ln

Long Island, NY (April 11, 2021) – Around 11:15 a.m. on Saturday morning, April 10, a woman was killed in a fatal fire that took place in Long Island.

According to Nassau County officials, the fire broke out in a home on Forester Lane. When fire crews arrived at the scene, they found that the home was engulfed in heavy black smoke. They were able to force entry into the home, where they found the homeowner inside.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were present at the scene. The 61-year-old female homeowner was initially unconscious but was soon pronounced dead at the scene.

The area was blocked for an extended period of time as the scene was cleared.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
