Manhattan, NY – Apartment Fire on W 115th St Injures Fire Crews

Manhattan, NY (January 31, 2021) – Around 7 a.m. on Saturday morning, January 30, an apartment fire took place at a building in Manhattan.

According to officials, the incident took place in an apartment building at West 115th Street. When fire crews arrived at the scene, they found a blaze on the first floor. The fire blazed out of control and made it all the way to the top of the sixth-floor building.

Paramedics and other responders were dispatched to the scene of the fire. They found that 21 firefighters were injured as a result of the fire. Their conditions are not known at this time.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the apartment for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released. The investigation continues.
