Queens, NY – Caroline Connors Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Crash on 70th St

Queens, NY (July 9, 2021) – At 12:44 a.m. on the morning of Friday, July 9, a woman was killed in a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run accident in Queens.

According to officials, the accident took place at the intersection of 70th Street and Eliot Avenue. Police confirmed that 67-year-old Caroline Connors was walking across the street when she was suddenly struck by a sedan traveling east in the area. She was knocked into the roadway when she was also struck by an eastbound MTA bus. The vehicles continued onward without stopping

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help. Connors was found at the scene with traumatic injuries and was pronounced dead while there.

Police have found the driver of the bus but it is not known if they will face any charges for their role in the accident.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident remains ongoing.
