Queens, NY (December 15, 2020) – Around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, December 15, a traffic agent was injured in a pedestrian accident in Queens.
According to authorities, the accident took place on Broadway when a New York City traffic agent was walking in the area of Broadway when he was struck by an 18-wheeler driving in the area.
Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene. The agent was trapped underneath the tractor-trailer and had to be rescued by fire crews. The man was conscious but had serious neck and back injuries and pain. He was taken to Elmhurst Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The driver of the tractor-trailer stayed at the scene of the crash. He has been cooperating with the police.
