Queens, NY – Woman Killed in Fatal Head-on Collision on S Park Ln

Queens, NY (October 18, 2021) – Around 11 p.m. on Sunday night, October 17, a woman was killed in a head-on collision in Queens.

According to NYPD officials, the accident happened on South Park Lane around the area of Mayfair Road. A 21-year-old man was driving a Toyota Corolla when he went over the center line after a curve in the road. It is believed that the man was driving intoxicated when he struck a Toyota Camry head-on.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. A 22-year-old woman was extricated from one of the vehicles and was pronounced dead due to traumatic injuries. The 44-year-old driver of the Camry, the 21-year-old Corolla driver, and a 3-year-old boy were all taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.

The driver of the Corolla, since identified as Daniel Aguirre, is now facing charges. These include vehicular manslaughter, driving while intoxicated, and more.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
