Staten Island, NY – One Injured in Townhouse Fire on Charleston Ave

Staten Island, NY (March 28, 2021) – Around 3:08 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, March 27, a serious townhouse fire took place on Staten Island.

According to FDNY responders, the incident took place at a townhouse on 20 Charleston Avenue. A call came in about the townhome being on fire and when officials arrived, they found the home engulfed in flames. Approximately 12 units and 60 firefighters were present at the scene. They had the fire under control within the hour.

Paramedics were present at the scene to help one injured victim. One person was transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The investigation into the circumstances of the fire continues.
