Staten Island, NY – Two Injured in House Fire on Idaho Ave

Staten Island, NY (January 23, 2021) – Around 12:46 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, January 23, a serious house fire took place in Staten Island.

According to authorities, the accident took place at a home on 67 Idaho Avenue. A blaze broke out in a home and twelve fire units responded, consisting of approximately 60 firefighters. Fire crews got up on the roof of the home to spray water and use tools to get the fire under control.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident. Two firefighters, who were not identified, were injured as a result of the fire. The victims are expected to recover.

FDNY confirmed that the fire was under control around 1:54 p.m.

The investigation into the circumstances of the fire continues.
