The Bronx, NY – Man Hit & Killed By Amazon Truck on E Tremont Ave in Van Nest

The Bronx, NY (June 19, 2021) – A man on an electric scooter was hit and killed by an Amazon truck driver in the Bronx on Saturday evening, June 19.

Per reports from the New York Police Department, the accident happened around 7:00 p.m. on East Tremont Avenue in the Van Nest section of the borough. Both the delivery truck and the scooter were traveling eastbound on the busy thoroughfare when the deadly collision took place. The victim, identified only as a 22-year-old male, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to officials. NYPD officers are still investigating the circumstances of the accident and have not released further details.

No charges or citations have been issued at this time.
