Brooklyn, NY – Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Bushwick Ave

Brooklyn, NY (November 11, 2020) – Around 7:10 a.m. on Monday, November 9, a fatal pedestrian accident occurred on a roadway in Brooklyn.

Police confirmed that a cement truck driver was headed east on Bushwick Avenue when he ran into a pedestrian who was near an industrialized area. The accident occurred near Jefferson Street.

The pedestrian, who has since been identified as <removed>, emerged from behind a car and walked onto the street. The driver of the cement truck, who has not yet been identified, did not see her and was not able to stop in time before striking her.

The 34-year-old pedestrian was immediately pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The 49-year-old cement truck driver was not injured.

Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for some time.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
