Brooklyn, NY (December 24, 2020) – Around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening, December 23, a bicyclist was killed in a fatal accident in Brooklyn.
According to officials, 33-year-old Adrian Coyotl de Los Santos was struck by an MTA bus at the intersection of Graham Avenue and Metropolitan Avenue. He was operating his e-bike headed north on Graham around the area of the intersection when the 50-year-old bus driver started to make a turn. The bicycle slammed into the side of the bus.
The bicyclist was the only person injured in the accident and he was immediately rushed to the hospital. He tragically succumbed to his injuries while there.
The roadway was blocked in multiple lanes of traffic for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
