Brooklyn, NY – Bus Accident Involving Police Officer at Clinton St & Lorraine St

Brooklyn, NY (October 5, 2021) – Around 12:40 a.m. on Tuesday morning, October 5, a bus accident with injuries occurred in Brooklyn.

According to Brooklyn Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Clinton Street and Lorraine Street. An NYPD cruiser and an MTA bus were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection in the Red Hook neighborhood. The vehicles collided forcefully with each other, which led to extensive damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. Two NYPD officers and the driver of the bus were injured in the accident. The parties are all expected to recover from their injuries.

The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time until police were able to fully clear the scene.
