Brooklyn, NY (January 4, 2021) – Around 9 a.m. on Monday morning, January 4, a child was killed and another was hurt in a Brooklyn pedestrian accident.
According to law enforcement officials, the accident took place on 67th Street around the area of 20th Avenue. A 4-year-old boy and a 6-year-old boy were walking in the area when they were suddenly struck by a blue van driving in the area. It is not known if they attended the nearby Clarion School.
The driver of the blue minivan did not stop at the scene of the accident. However, the driver was later contacted and cooperated with the police.
The 4-year-old boy was taken to the hospital but was tragically pronounced dead while there. The 6-year-old has since been listed in critical condition.
Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
