Brooklyn, NY – Five Injured in Apartment Fire on Tilden Ave

Brooklyn, NY (March 23, 2021) – Around 4:30 a.m. on Monday morning, March 22, an apartment fire happened near an intersection in Brooklyn.

According to officials, the incident took place at the intersection of Tilden Avenue and East 29th Street. An apartment building caught on fire for reasons that are not yet known. The blaze completely engulfed multiple units, extending to the third floor.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were present at the scene. Five people, two of which were firefighters, were injured as a result of the fire. The injured victims were taken to the hospital for treatment.

A total of 33 FDNY units put out the blaze, but it took some time.

The investigation into the circumstances of the fire continues.
