Brooklyn, NY – William Bravo Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Belt Pkwy

Brooklyn, NY (November 24, 2020) – Around 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 24, a man was killed in a pedestrian crash in Brooklyn.

Police confirmed that the pedestrian, identified as 26-year-old William Bravo, was walking across the eastbound lanes of the Belt Parkway near the entrance ramp for Coney Island Avenue.

A gray sedan started to travel through the same area, striking him. The driver of the accident then fled the scene of the accident and did not return.

Bravo was thrown into the air and landed by the concrete median by the entrance ramp area. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of severe head trauma. He was pronounced dead while there.

The roadway was blocked in multiple lanes of traffic as police worked to clear the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
