Brooklyn, NY (April 25, 2021) – Around 10:15 p.m. on Saturday night, April 24, a woman was killed in a fatal pedestrian crash at a Brooklyn intersection.
According to police, the accident happened at the intersection of Nostrand Avenue and Campus Road. At the time, a 77-year-old woman was crossing the intersection when she was struck by a white BMW. The driver was making a right turn at the time and fled the scene of the accident.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. The woman was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital with traumatic injuries but was pronounced dead while there.
The driver who was responsible for the accident was later found by police and charged for fleeing the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
