Buffalo, NY – Fatal Pedestrian Accident at Ellicott St and Virginia St

Buffalo, NY (December 12, 2020) – Around 5 p.m. on Friday evening, December 11, a pedestrian accident took place in Buffalo.

According to authorities, the accident occurred at the intersection of Ellicott Street and Virginia Street. Police confirmed that an 86-year-old woman was riding her mobility scooter across the intersection when a vehicle making a left turn struck her. The accident led to extensive damages.

The woman, who has not yet been formally identified, was taken to Erie County Medical Center for treatment. However, she succumbed to her injuries while there.

The driver that struck the pedestrian remained at the scene. They have been cooperating with police and no charges have been brought as of yet.

The roadway was closed down at the intersection for some time.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
