Queens, NY – Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident at College Point Blvd Intersection

Queens, NY (June 5, 2021) – At 9:30 p.m. on the night of Friday, June 4, a hit-and-run pedestrian accident occurred in Queens.

According to police, the accident happened at the intersection of College Point Boulevard and 18th Avenue. A 2009 Toyota Camry was headed north when the vehicle crossed the double yellow line and veered into the southbound lanes of traffic. The Camry struck a 16-year-old boy in the crosswalk.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The 16-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital and has since been listed in critical condition.

The Camry fled the scene of the accident. Police have not yet said if they have found the responsible driver.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
