Queens, NY (November 5, 2020) – Two people were injured in a car accident that took place near an intersection around 5:30 a.m. this morning, November 5.
According to the New York Police Department, the collision occurred at the intersection of Jamaica Avenue and 168 Street. Police did not comment on the circumstances of the accident or how many vehicles were involved. However, it is believed that the vehicles entered the intersection at the same time.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those in need. Two people, one of which was an NYPD officer, were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident continues.
