Staten Island, NY – Firefighters Injured in House Fire on Muller Ave

Staten Island, NY (June 1, 2021) – At 12:12 a.m. on Tuesday morning, June 1, a house fire injured two firefighters in Staten Island.

According to police, the fire initially broke out in a home at 111 Muller Avenue. Approximately 12 units devised of 60 firefighters responded to the blaze in the two-story home. The home was engulfed in flames and it took approximately one hour to put out the fire.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those with injuries. Two firefighters, who have not yet been identified, were taken to Richmond University Medical Center for treatment of unknown injuries.

The area was blocked for some time following the fire.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
