Staten Island, NY – One Injured in Car Accident on Staten Island Expy

Staten Island, NY (October 12, 2021) – At 6:22 a.m. on the morning of Monday, October 11, a car accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Staten Island.

According to Staten Island officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of the Staten Island Expressway around the area of the Bradley Avenue exit. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when the vehicles collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person, who has not yet been identified, was injured in the accident. The injured victim was taken to Richmond University Medical Center for treatment.

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
