Staten Island, NY – One Injured in Serious House Fire on Reiss Ln

Staten Island, NY (May 16, 2021) – Around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, May 16, one person was injured in a house fire in Staten Island.

According to officials, the accident happened at 37 Reiss Lane when a fire started due to reasons that are not yet known. Approximately 100 firefighters arrived at the scene where they found that the two-story private dwelling was engulfed in flames.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person, who was identified only as an adult civilian, was injured due to the fire. Their condition is not yet known.

Fire crews had the fire completely under control by 12:15 p.m.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
