Staten Island, NY (February 19, 2021) – Around 7:21 a.m. on Friday morning, February 19, a serious pedestrian accident took place in Staten Island.
According to officials, the accident took place on Victory Boulevard around the area of Woodstock Avenue and Louis Street. A pedestrian was crossing the street in the area when they were suddenly struck by a traveling passenger vehicle.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those in need. The injured pedestrian, who has not yet been formally identified, was taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
