Staten Island, NY (October 10, 2021) – At 1:52 a.m. on Sunday morning, October 10, a pedestrian accident occurred on a roadway on Staten Island.
According to FDNY officials, the accident happened near 94 Harbor Road. A pedestrian, who has not yet been formally identified, was walking in the area. They started to cross the street when they were suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle that was driving in the area. The vehicle allegedly remained at the scene following the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian was seriously injured in the accident. They were rushed to the hospital for treatment, though their condition is not yet known.

Brooklyn, NY (October 2, 2021) – At 11:20 p.m. on Friday night, October 1, a serious house fire occurred in Brooklyn that led to injuries.
According to the FDNY, the fire broke out in a three-story home on 45th Street. Fire crews did not say where the fire began. However, when they arrived at the home, they found that it was engulfed in flames and smoke. Several people on the third story were unable to get to safety and jumped out of windows to get to safety. Fire crews were able to get the fire under control by 12:05 a.m.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. A total of sixteen people were injured in the accident. Four of the victims, including a 4-year-old boy, were critically injured and rushed to the hospital for treatment. None of their conditions are known at this time.
The area was blocked for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
