Bronx, NY – Seven Injured in Apartment Fire on 183rd St

Bronx, NY (March 29, 2021) – Around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday night, March 28, an apartment fire took place in the Bronx that led to injuries.

According to officials, the fire broke out in an apartment building at 183rd Street. The six-story building became engulfed in flames within minutes. Approximately 168 firefighters were deployed to the scene. It took fire crews until approximately 10:20 p.m. to get the fire under control.

Paramedics were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. Seven people, including five firefighters, were injured in the fire. Two of the victims suffered from severe injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.

The investigation into the circumstances of the fire continues.
