Brooklyn, NY – Child Injured in Pedestrian Accident on 13th Ave

Brooklyn, NY (January 24, 2021) – On Sunday morning, January 24, a child was injured in a serious pedestrian accident at a Brooklyn intersection.

The accident, according to officials, took place at the intersection of 13th Avenue and 46th Street when an 11 or 12-year-old girl was crossing the intersection and was struck by a passenger vehicle. The vehicle remained at the scene of the accident.

The child was injured as a result of the accident. Paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the child to Maimonides Medical Center with head injuries. Her condition is not known at this time.

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released. The investigation continues.
