Queens, NY – Passenger Killed in Fatal Collision on Belt Pkwy

Queens, NY (December 1, 2020) – Around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday night, November 29, a passenger was killed in a fatal collision in Queens.

According to authorities, the accident took place in the eastbound lanes of the Belt Parkway around the area of 150th Street. A 20-year-old driver was traveling at high speeds on the highway when he lost control of his vehicle, slamming into the overpass.

The driver, who has not yet been formally identified, was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. The front-seat passenger was taken to the hospital and was pronounced dead while there. His identity is not yet known.

Due to the severity of the crash, the roadway was blocked for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
