Bronx, NY (December 2, 2020) – Around 2 a.m. on Wednesday morning, a truck accident took place at an intersection in the Bronx.
According to police, the accident occurred at the intersection of East 160 Street and Tinton Avenue when an FDNY truck collided with a passenger vehicle. The truck was identified as an Engine 73 truck.

Brooklyn, NY (November 25, 2020) – Around 1:10 a.m. on Wednesday morning, November 25, a fatal collision occurred in Brooklyn.
Police determined that the accident took place on Grand Street around the area of Manhattan Avenue. According to police, a 30-year-old man was driving his BMW SUV headed westbound on Grand when one of his tires blew out. This caused him to lose control of his vehicle, where he veered into the other lane of traffic and collided with a Honda. The Honda ran onto the sidewalk nearby and struck a tree.

The driver of the Honda Element, identified as a 34-year-old man, was not injured as a result of the crash.

Police confirmed that the pedestrian was identified as 62-year-old Alina Morales, who was crossing the street at Atlantic Avenue and Nevins Street. She was suddenly struck by a Hyundai Sonata that was traveling in the area.
Paramedics were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident. Morales was rushed to Brooklyn Hospital Center where she was tragically pronounced deceased.
The driver of the Sonata was identified as a 49-year-old man who remained at the scene of the accident to cooperate with the police. He was arrested late last night, though police have not announced the charges.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time.
