Buffalo, NY (December 12, 2020) – Around 5 p.m. on Friday evening, December 11, a pedestrian accident took place in Buffalo.

According to authorities, the accident occurred at the intersection of Ellicott Street and Virginia Street. Police confirmed that an 86-year-old woman was riding her mobility scooter across the intersection when a vehicle making a left turn struck her. The accident led to extensive damages.

The woman, who has not yet been formally identified, was taken to Erie County Medical Center for treatment. However, she succumbed to her injuries while there.

Manhattan, NY (December 11, 2020) – Around 4 p.m. on Friday afternoon, December 11, a pedestrian accident involving protesters happened at a Manhattan intersection.

Brooklyn, NY (December 10, 2020) – On the night of Wednesday, December 9, a fatal pedestrian accident happened in Brooklyn involving a hit-and-run driver.

According to police, the accident took place at the intersection of East 55^th Street and Glenwood Road in Brooklyn. A 53-year-old woman was crossing the intersection around 10:16 p.m. when she was struck by a passenger vehicle.

According to police, 22-year-old Michael Rajpaul was in a Hyundai and fleeing the scene of an earlier accident with a BMW sedan when the pedestrian accident took place. He was traveling in the wrong direction at the time. He also struck a Honda sedan after striking the pedestrian.

The woman was seriously injured and rushed to Kings County Hospital. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries while there.

Rajpaul has since been charged with manslaughter, assault, and reckless driving.

The 18-year-old operator of the vehicle realized that she got off at the wrong exit and went through a grassy median. When she tried to get back on the roadway, her vehicle forcefully overturned.

An 18-year-old passenger, identified as Datanja Britt, was ejected from the vehicle. She was taken to Jamaica Hospital for treatment of her injuries but was pronounced dead while there.

Brooklyn, NY (December 3, 2020) – On Tuesday afternoon, December 1, a car crash with injuries took place at an intersection in Brooklyn.

According to police, the accident occurred at the intersection of East 105^th Street and Avenue L when two vehicles collided with one another. A man was driving his Subaru Forester headed eastbound on the roadway when his vehicle was suddenly struck by a Mercedes Benz driven by a 17-year-old.

The impact was so forceful that the Subaru overturned on the sidewalk. The driver, identified as a 65-year-old man, was rescued from the vehicle. He has since been listed in critical condition at the Brookdale University Hospital.

The 17-year-old driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the police but was not injured.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection but the scene was quickly cleared by police.

No further details have been released. The investigation continues.
